ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION

Accounts & subscriptions

Sign-up, plan selection, subscription updates and device migration. Subscription links are account information and should only be used between your own client and user panel.

Do I need an email address to sign up?
No email address is required. You can sign up with a username and password. Save your credentials securely, and avoid confusing login details with subscription links across different clients. After signing up, open the user panel to choose a plan and manage your subscription information.
What monthly data allowances are available?
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month with 60GB · ¥18/month with 250GB · ¥28/month with 500GB (data resets monthly on the activation date; mid-cycle upgrades are prorated for the remaining days). Choose based on your actual usage rather than route count alone.
What should I do after my subscription link is updated?
First, copy the current subscription information again from the user panel, then return to the client and update the subscription or refresh its configuration. If the old entry remains, delete it and import the subscription again to avoid adding the same subscription twice. Subscription links are account information and should not be posted publicly or shared with unrelated people.
Do I need to buy again when switching devices?
No separate purchase is needed when you change devices. VPNAO supports unlimited devices. Sign in to the user panel on the new device to get the client and subscription information for that platform. When you stop using the old device, remove its saved subscription configuration to keep your credentials from being scattered.
CLIENT / CONNECTION

Connections & troubleshooting

Confirm your subscription status first, then check routes, system permissions and split-tunneling settings. Change only one thing at a time so you can identify which step affects the issue.

Why can't I connect after importing my subscription into the client?
First confirm that your plan is still active and refresh the subscription in the client. Then try another route, check that the system time is accurate, and confirm that the client has the system permissions needed to establish a network connection. If no route connects, fully quit and reopen the client, then submit a ticket with the platform name, the exact error message and the troubleshooting steps already completed.
Why won't a particular app use the proxy?
A common reason is that the client is in rule mode and the app's connection does not match a proxy rule. The app may also use a separate network component. Temporarily switch connection modes for comparison. If the connection works afterward, check the split-tunneling rules, system network permissions and whether the target domain is set to direct connection. Restore the appropriate mode after testing.
The system says I'm connected, but websites still won't open. What should I do?
Visit other websites first to determine whether the issue affects only a specific service, then switch routes and reconnect. If that does not help, temporarily disable other network-filtering tools and check whether the browser uses network settings different from the system. Do not run multiple clients that take control of the system network at the same time, as their routing rules may conflict.
How do I get the client for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux?
VPNAO supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the user panel, open the client download area and get the client and subscription for your current platform. Marketing pages do not provide static installers or live subscription addresses; after installation, import the current subscription from your own user panel.
ROUTE / PERFORMANCE

Speed & routes

Speed is not determined by a single route parameter. The actual experience depends on local access, the exit region, the target service and connection stability, so compare results in the same environment.

What should I check first when performance slows during peak hours?
First distinguish local network fluctuations from congestion on cross-border routes. Close bandwidth-heavy downloads and sync tasks, then compare routes in different regions on the same device and network. If only one route is slow, keep the current use case and switch routes. If all routes are affected, reconnect your local network first, then check whether the client configuration has expired.
Should I choose the nearest route or one in the target region?
For ordinary websites and developer tools, start with a nearby, stable route. For content with regional availability, prioritize a route in the target service's region. VPNAO covers 100+ countries / 150+ routes, so consider the target region, connection stability and the needs of the specific app together when choosing.
Why does a speed test differ from my actual experience?
A speed test usually reflects short-term transfer performance between the test server and your current exit point. Page loading, streaming output and long-lived connections are also affected by the target service, route changes and your local network. During troubleshooting, do not rely only on an instantaneous result. Compare page response, connection stability and file transfers in the same environment before deciding whether to change routes.
A website opens, but sign-in or streaming output keeps stopping. What should I do?
Check whether the exit point changed during the session. Choose a route before connecting to the target service, and keep the route region consistent while signing in, completing verification and using the service. If you switch routes mid-session, reopen the target page to establish a new session. For developer tools, also check that the terminal, IDE and browser use the same system network configuration.
BILLING / REFUND

Billing & refunds

Monthly subscriptions and data packages use different data rules. Start all payment and refund actions from the user panel, and match order details to the ticket you submit.

When does monthly subscription data reset?
Data resets monthly on the activation date. The reset cycle is based on the plan's activation date rather than the calendar month. Mid-cycle upgrade price differences are prorated for the remaining days, so check your current plan and remaining usage needs before upgrading, then refresh the plan information in the user panel.
Do data packages expire?
Data packages (use until depleted, never expire): ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. They suit usage that does not follow a fixed monthly pattern and reset differently from monthly subscriptions. Choose based on your usage habits; do not treat a data package as a plan that renews automatically each month.
What payment methods are supported?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Start payment through the order flow in the user panel and follow the information shown on the order page. Do not pay through temporary addresses shared in chat logs, public articles or pages outside this site. After payment, return to the order page to check its status and avoid creating duplicate orders for the same request.
How do I request a refund?
VPNAO offers a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit the relevant order details and refund request through the ticket system so the order status can be verified. Before submitting, keep the exact client error message and troubleshooting steps you tried. Eligibility and processing rules are defined on the refund policy page.
